Dodge Point United Soccer traveled to Monroe Thursday night and walked away with a 2-1 win. Sophomore defender Hayden Bakken said, “The loss on Tuesday really left a bad taste in my mouth and I came to play with energy.” Bakken was all over the field, making it tough for Monroe to get anything started. Sophomore Jared Wedig said “We knew Monroe weren’t going to be as competitive as New Glarus/Belleville, and we couldn’t play down to their level.” After getting off to a slow start, Jeremiah Beasley (Dodgeville) was the spark plug that they needed and they got out to an early lead. Dodge Point will travel to Wisconsin Heights on September 2nd.
