Pointer Girls Basketball Start the Season 2-0
Last Friday night, the Mineral Point girls basketball team kicked off their season with a match up against the Dodgeville Dodgers. The Pointers were led into Dodgeville by first year head coach Mike Keyes and took the W 48-38. Nicole Johnson led the charge tossing in 18 points en route to a victory. The Pointers played River Valley last night in their second game of the year. Coach Keyes had the girls ready to play, as they came out dominant, winning 64-22. The Pointers had a balance attack, as Nicole Johnson and Mallory Lindsey both had 13 points, while Emily Cody scored 10. The girls look to continue their success next Thursday as they host the Cuba City Cubans.
