Friday brought about a great conflict between the Mineral Point Boys Varsity and Cuba City, but the results of the game were unsavory when the final 62-77 score spelled out a loss for the Pointers. But they still put up a fight! Joah Filardo was the player making the most moves on the scoreboard with a whopping 25 points, but we’ve also got Ian Keyes with 10 points and Liam Stumpf, along with Cameron Weigman, both acquiring 8 rebounds for the team. Regardless of the team’s fight and determination, the game results just didn’t seem to swing in their favor for one reason or another. Head Coach Dan Burreson felt that “The big thing we are looking for is consistency in what we do.  We want to put together a complete 36-minute effort” was the main reason we weren’t able to pull out the win we were hoping for. The team will be looking for better prospects when they next play Cambridge on Monday for Senior Night. Let’s wish them luck!
