Last night, the Mineral Point volleyball team traveled to Darlington to face the Redbirds. The Pointers ended up losing to the Redbirds 0-3. In the first set, the girls fell short of Darlington with a score of 25-16. After that, they lost the next two matches, 25-23. Before the varsity game, the JV played and won the first set 25-8, and following that, they won the second set 25-14. The JV girls lost the third and final set 16-14 but took the overall win 2-1. Senior Emma Steffes says, “There were some good points that the team had, but I felt that we needed to work together more.” Overall the girls played well, and they will travel to Cuba City on Tuesday, September 7th, JV to play at 5:45 and Varsity at 7:15 pm.
