Last night, Dodge Point United Boys Soccer extended their win streak to three straight, winning in hostile territory. Kicking off early against their rivals to the south, the Varsity team took the lead early in the contest, with Dodgeville’s Owen McDonald picking up where he left off, scoring the first goal of the night. While Dodge Point found the net first, Platteville/Lancaster had the answer, scoring one of their own. A strategic battle followed, putting both squads’ passing, footwork, and defensive presence on full display. Pushing the intensity, Dodge Point’s Drew Hottenstein and Luke Unbehaun scored two back-to-back beauties, giving Dodge Point the lead. However, Platteville/Lancaster put goal number two of the night in the net before going to the half, hanging in the contest. While the first half featured lots of offense, things settled down as the second half got underway, as neither team was able to add another goal to the score column. Dodge Point left Platteville as the victors, downing the opponents in a 3-2 battle. Dodge Point is back tomorrow as they’re set to hit the road early for an A.M. contest with Jefferson.
