On October 23, 2021, Mineral Point Gridiron hosted a UTV ”Pumpkin Run” UTV road ride. The Pointer community followed a route that finished at the fair building. The drive started at 11:00 and ended at 5:00. They finished at the fair building which led to lots of fun for the community with plenty of food to eat and also a 50/50 raffle. The Gridiron ended the day with a chili cook-off. Prizes were given out to first, second and third place. MP Gridiron is helping out to raise money for the Mineral Point football team to help purchase football blocking sleds and funds to go towards the 2021 stadium payment. Mineral Point head Coach Justin Leonard gave a few words on what he thought about this community gathering. “I felt like it was great for the football program as a whole. It’s my vision to create a family atmosphere all through the program. It was nice to see youth parents, high school parents, community members, fans, and players at the event. I look forward to doubling attendance next year. GO POINTERS!”
