Mineral Point Girls Basketball First Win Against Hornets

Last night, the Mineral Point Pointers hosted the Richland Center Hornets. Both JV and Varsity came out on top and defeated the Hornets. The JV won with a final score of 58-12. The JV had top scorers Eliza Ingwell and Morgan Lee both with 10 points. The Varsity Girls took the win by a score of 71-52 over the Richland Center Hornets. Leading scores were Mallory Lindsey with 21 points, Ella Chambers with 16 points, and Kennedy Wenger with 15 points. Senior Mallory Lindsey says, “It was so much fun to be back in the spotlight with all the fans packed in. I thought it was a good home opener for us. We definitely have areas to improve on, but we are excited to get back in the swing of things.”
