Mineral Point High School’s Musical Theatre put on the musical Chicago last weekend. Months of practicing, memorizing lines, and perfecting the production were shown during the performances. The Mineral Point Opera House, where Chicago was performed, is not quite sure the exact number of people who went but they have estimated around 450.

If you went to see one of the shows, you know how much detail the crew put into designing the props, so a big thank you to them and everyone else who helped out. More appreciation to our director team, including Miss McHugh, Mr. Smith, Mr. Nevers, Mr. Miles, Mrs. and Mr. Duwell, and Ms. Monroe.

So, the curtains have closed on this year’s musical production. Of course, next year is a long way away, but there have been speculations about what the next show will be. One can only hope that next year’s musical will be as memorable as this one.
