Pointers Fall Short on Historic Day
December 4, 2021
Saturday afternoon the Pointers battled Milwaukee Pius XI. To start the day The JV2 team defeated the Popes 63 to 29. Jaxson Wendhausen led the Pointers with 23 points. After that Jv1 battled the Popes, after a close first half the Pointers pulled away winning 53 to 23. Alex Ross had 20 points in the win including 6 three-pointers. Lastly, the varsity boys basketball team hosted Division 2, Milwaukee Pius, on Saturday and lost a close battle 65 to 57. Joah Filardo had 21 points in the loss while Dominik McVay added 12. Owen Ward led the Pointers with 14 rebounds. Bodie Bossert had 5 assists and 4 steals. Owen Ward stated after the tough loss, “Although we lost, it was a good learning experience for our team.”
