Girls Basketball Crushes the Riverdale Chieftains

Thursday Night the Mineral Point Girls basketball team takes on the Riverdale Chieftains on their home court. Before the starting of the varsity game, the JV team started the night out with a big lead of 63 – 26. Leading scorers Breanna Goninen and Eliza Ingwell added 11 points each. After a couple of great wins at the Evansville Tournament, the Varsity team came out with their heads high. The Varsity kept their dominating streak with a great win of 67 – 26. Leading scorers Blair Watters added 27 points, Katelyn Cox put down a solid 15 points, and Mallory Lindsey put in 12 including 4 three-pointers. Come back to the home court on Saturday to watch the girls take on Wisconsin Heights. There will be a Hall of Fame induction taking place after the JV game. Theme: Fiesta
