Pointers Blow Away the Redbirds
January 25, 2022
Last night, the girls’ basketball JV and varsity both took on the Darlington Redbirds. After beating the Redbirds earlier this season on their home court, the girls knew this was an opportunity to make a statement on our home court. Prior to the varsity, the JV took the court. The first half was a low-scoring close half, but the girls pulled out the second half with a final score of 49 – 28. The leading scorer for the JV game was Olivia Wilson with 18 points. Then the varsity girls came on the court ready to make a statement, which they did with a final score of 59 – 40. Leading scorers included Mallory Lindsey with 20 and 14 added by Blair Watters. Senior Ella Chambers added on the night, “It was a good win! There are definitely areas we can still improve on; we just need to keep practicing hard and push ourselves all the time!” Come support the girls at their next game in Southwestern!
