Girls Gymnastics Team is State-Bound

This past Saturday, the Dodge-Point-Iowa-Grant team hosted the Sectional meet. This meet determines which teams go to state. At this meet, the 1st and 2nd place teams qualify for state; The top 5 places from each event will go to state as an individual. The team placed .025 behind Reedsburg to get 2nd place overall; they got a score of 134.6. Ashlie Baumgartner also qualified for individual state on bars, with a personal high score, 8.55. The girl’s state meet is on Friday 4th, at Wisconsin Rapids. The team’s goal is to get at least 5th place, and they want to try to beat their school’s record.
