Pointers Start off Conference Play Hot
Yesterday from the baseball diamond the Pointers shut out the host Boscobel Bulldogs 11 to 0. Dominik McVay went 2 x 3 including a triple and drove in two runs. Leyten Bowers and Bo Hanson each had two RBIs as well. Dominik McVay was the winning pitcher. The Pointers will take on the Fennimore Golden Eagles on Thursday.

Pointers Blow out Hornets
From the baseball diamond yesterday the Pointers defeated the Richland Center Hornets 12 to 2. Leyten Bowers and Luke Kisgen each went 2 for 3 on the night. Luke drove in three runs and Jaiden Galle had 2 RBIs in the victory. Dominik McVay had 4 stolen bases and Leyten Bowers had 3. Brendan Lynch picked up the win. The Pointers will take on the Boscobel Bulldogs tomorrow as they start off conference play.

Pointers Sneak out a Big Win
On Friday the Pointer Diamondmen moved to 2-0 on the season with a 5 to 3 win over New Glarus. Brendan Lynch drove in 3 runs, Dominik McVay had a double Bo Hanson got the win. The JV was also victorious 6 to 0. The Pointers are set to take on the Richland Center Hornets this Monday.

Pointers Pounce on Cardinals
In the Pointers’ first game of the season, they defeated the Highland Cardinals by a score of 13-4. The Pointers got out to a slow start finding themselves in a 3-0 hole heading into the third inning, but then everything started to click with one run in the bottom of the third the score was now 3-1. The Pointers then in the bottom of the fourth had a 6 run inning making the score 7-3. The Pointers didn’t let off the gas pedal scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 5th and the bottom of the 6th. The Pointers gave up 1 run in the top of the 7th, but it wasn’t enough for the Cardinals. Bo Hanson got the win on the mound with 4 innings pitched and 10 strikeouts. The Pointers’ next matchup will be Friday at home against New Glarus, as the JV team will travel to New Glarus to take on the Knights.
