DodgePoint Track Teams Take Part in the Viroqua Blackhawk Invitational

The Dodge-Point track teams participated in the Blackhawk invitational, and the boys easily outdistanced second-place Westby 133-105. The top individual performances for the boys were Miles Houtakker 3rd in the 100 M Dash; Drew Hottenstein was 1st in the 110-meter hurdles, 1st in the long jump, and 2nd in the 300-meter hurdles. In the relay action, the 4×100 meter relay team of Hayden Bakken, Miles Houtakker, Isiah Neal, and Owen Mcdonald were 3rd. The 4×200 meter relay team of Drew Hottenstein, Miles Houtakker, Jared Wedig, and Parker Owens was 5th.

In girls’ action, they finished second behind Westby. Olivia Wilson was 4th in the 100-meter dash. Annie Robinson was 4th in the 400-meter dash. Ellie Robinson took first place in the 800-meter run, and Regan Schutte was second. Addy Christopher and Haylee Kearns were second and third, respectively, in the 1600-meter run. Malea Aschliman was 5th in the 300-meter hurdles. Dodge Point did a great job in the relays with finishing first in the girls’ 4×100 meter relay with runners Olivia Wilson, Ashlie Baumgartner, Belle Watters, and Elsa Nelson. The team of Ashlie Baumgartner, Belle Watters, Blair Watters and Elsa Nelson finished first in the 4×200 meter relay. In addition, the 4×400 meter relay team finished first with runners Grace Wersal, Blair Watters, Ellie Robinson, and Annie Robinson. Lastly, Julia Thompson, Ellie Robinson, Annie Robinson, and Regan Schutte were first in the 4×800 meter relay. Additional events included Ashlie Baumgartner placing 4th in the long jump, and Livie Poad earning 4th in the discus throw.
