Varsity Football Loses to Potosi/Cassville In A Dogfight

The Pointers Varsity football team hosted the Potosi/Cassville Chieftains.
The Pointers had a challenging game all around. Early in the first quarter, Eli Lindsey connected with Tremaine Kennicker for a 45-yard touchdown. Potosi/Cassville answered with a touchdown of their own. The defense of Potosi/Cassville was too tough for the Pointers to convert the first down. Potosi/Cassville then took their momentum and turned it into another touchdown
Brendan Lynch rushed for a 10-yard touchdown giving the Pointers the lead. Potosi/Cassville scored another passing touchdown with time running out to give them the 6-point lead going into halftime.
Coming out of halftime Potosi/Cassville scored a touchdown of their own and capitalized with a two-point conversion. The Pointers responded with a 10-yard touchdown rush by Eli Lindsey. Bryce Vamstad added a field goal. Yet again, Potosi/Cassville added another touchdown and converted the two-point conversion.
The Pointers tallied another touchdown with the connection from Eli Lindsey to Brendan Lynch on a 25-yard reception. Bryce Vamstad added another extra point. The final score was 27-34 with a tough loss for the Pointers.
The Pointers take on the Fennimore Golden Eagles next Friday under the lights in Mineral Point on the Ron Murphey Feild.
