MP Wrestling Success at Badger State
Badger State at the Alliant Energy Center was a massive success for Mineral Point Wrestling — specifically, girls wrestling! We blew them out of the water with our girls, Dealya Collins and Kylie Rule, achieving 1st Place!! Kylie was named Outstanding Wrestler. Outstanding Wrestler is a great achievement to receive as it is the all-around best wrestler award.
Kylie started off the day with two byes. Her first match of the day was against Tanaya McConnell from Eau Claire North. The match resulted in a Fall 1:22. The second match of the day was against Ava Armatti from Neenah. The match resulted in a Fall 1:49. Lastly, the finals match was vs Katelyn Ottosen from Waunakee. Kylie Rule received 1st place after a Fall of 2:33.
Dealya’s first match of the day was Josye Olson from Holmen. The match resulted in a Fall 2:27. The second match of the day was against Andrea Correa from Milwaukee Ronald Reagan. The match resulted in a Fall 0:35. Next, Dealya finished the 6 min long match with a win of 10-4 against Claire Spilde from Stoughton. Her finals match was vs Makenna Hanke from Lomira. Dealya Collins received 1st place after a Decision of 4-1.
