JV Wrestling at West Salem

The Pointers traveled to West Salem this weekend to wrestle multiple schools.

Lennon Ewert weighed in at 106 and wrestled Cole Ollendick from Tomah. Lennon finished out the match with a fall of 4:50.

Chris Halverson won against Carson Knight from Riverdale.

Trent Culver weighed in at 145 and wrestled Hayden Olsen from Sparta. Trent ended the match losing with a fall of 5:17.

Brady Haas, wrestling at 160, lost his match to Emerson Melby from Holman with a fall of 1:48.

Alan James, 182, won his match with a score of 9:1 against Camden McTagger from Sparta.

Quentin Kite, 138, won his match with a fall of 1:16 to Jacob Hicke from West Salem.

The boys wrestled many matches with Kite and James placing 3rd overall, Halverson placing 5th, and Ewert earning 6th.

“Everyone worked hard and we all did well and stuck to our basics, which helped us do as well as we did”.
