MP Girls Basketball Defeats the Belmont Braves

Over the weekend, the Pointers hosted the Belmont Braves for an afternoon game. The Pointers started the game in their pressure defense playing man-to-man full-court. The Pointers went into halftime leading with a score of 36 to 20.
The Pointers finished the game out strong, beating the Braves 70 to 47.
Three starters scored in double figures including Katelyn Cox who had 20, Belle Watters had 13, and Kennedy Wenger had 11. Ella Kroll was a spark off the bench for the Pointers adding 12 of her own points in the victory.
On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, the Pointers will host the Riverdale Chieftains for a conference game. The Pointers will be celebrating Katelyn Cox, Kennedy Wenger, and Kennedy Kabat during senior night.
