Last Second Win for MP Boys Basketball
Feb 6, 2023
Last night The Pointers took on another great opponent in one of the highest-intensity games of the season. The Pointers came away with the win with a score of 50-49 after a last-second floater from junior Landon Thousand to put the Pointers up 1 point with .6 seconds left in the game.
Eli Lindsey had 15 points to lead four Pointers in double figures. Luke Kisgen added 13 points and 13 rebounds. While Landon Thousand and Cooper Palzkill added 11 each.
The Pointers and Wildcats had a close match-up all game only having a lead of 10 points throughout the game but the Pointers were going shot for shot with them. Coming down to the final seconds, the Wildcats drove and got a foul and end up making both, putting them now up by 1. A timeout was called and Point drew up an inbound play to get it in and down the court to Landon — the rest, as they say, is history.
The Pointers will travel to Cuba City this Thursday.
