HARRISBURG, PA – A 10-year-old boy faces multiple felony charges after allegedly attempting an armed robbery and stabbing a store employee at a local Dollar Tree on Monday evening.
Armed Robbery Attempt at Dollar Tree
The incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. at the discount store in Harrisburg. According to the Swatara Township Police Department, the grade-school-age suspect entered the business brandishing a fixed-blade knife. He approached an employee, threatened her, and demanded all the money from the register.
Employees Intervene During Struggle
Seeing their co-worker in danger, other store employees quickly intervened to subdue the child. During the physical struggle to disarm him, the boy stabbed one of the employees multiple times.
Responding officers arrived to find the juvenile being detained by the staff. The injured employee required immediate medical treatment at the scene, though police have not released specific details regarding the severity of the wounds.

Due to the violent nature of the incident, the 10-year-old suspect was transported to a juvenile detention facility. He has been officially booked on several serious counts, including:
