Austin Police Search For Serial Credit Card Thief Posing As Delivery Driver

AUSTIN, TX – The Austin Police Department (APD) is asking for public assistance to identify a woman suspected of stealing credit cards from employee breakrooms and office parks across Austin and Dallas.

The Office-Park Theft Technique

According to APD detectives, the suspect’s latest reported theft occurred on June 15 at around 4:45 p.m. in a Dallas office park at 8340 Meadow Road. Investigators say the woman gained access to a restricted employee area by posing as a food delivery driver.

Once inside, she discreetly stole credit cards from a victim’s purse and returned the wallet to its original spot to delay detection. The stolen cards were immediately used at local CVS and Tom Thumb stores.

Linked to an Earlier North Austin Incident

APD connected the Dallas theft to a prior Austin case from February 2, 2026, which took place in an employees-only breakroom at a business on 3508 Far West Boulevard. In that incident, the stolen cards were used to purchase gift cards at an H-E-B on Burnet Road and a Walgreens on Mesa Drive.

Despite the locations being hundreds of miles apart, surveillance images show the suspect wearing the exact same style of slides and leggings in both crimes.

Suspect and Vehicle Descriptions

Detectives have released specific details to help the public identify the woman:

  • Physical Appearance: Black woman, heavy build, approximately 5-foot-10, and around 250 pounds.
  • Distinctive Marks: A tattoo on her left wrist, multiple tattoos on her right arm, and a unique white bracelet on her right wrist.
  • Vehicles Involved: She was recently seen driving a black Volkswagen Atlas SEL R-Line in Dallas, but was linked to a white Toyota Prius (2010–2015 model) during the Austin theft.

Because the Dallas Police Department currently has no official record of the June incident, APD detectives are leading the efforts to track down the suspect using victim-submitted tips.

How to Submit a Tip

No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains highly active. Anyone who recognizes the woman or the vehicles is urged to take action:

  • Call: Capital Area Crime Stoppers at 512-472-8477

A cash reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an official arrest.
