Late-Night Shoulder Collision
The collision occurred around 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, on Potrero Road, just west of Wendy Drive. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers responded to the scene following emergency calls.
According to the initial CHP investigation, a driver had stopped on the roadway to drop off the 16-year-old girl, whose own vehicle was parked nearby in a dirt turnout.
