WESTON, FL – Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) detectives are searching for a group of teenagers who caused thousands of dollars in property damage at the Weston Hills Golf Course during a late-night joyride.
The Incident
The vandalism occurred around 7:17 p.m. on Saturday, April 18. According to BSO deputies, several juveniles were reported riding motorized bikes and a golf cart across the private greens.
Witnesses at the scene described the teens accelerating and skidding abruptly, a technique that left deep tire scars across the pristine landscape.
Significant Property Damage
The scale of the destruction was captured on surveillance video. The footage shows the group weaving through the course with total disregard for the property. Officials estimate the repair costs will reach thousands of dollars.
BSO has officially classified the incident as criminal mischief. While specific descriptions of the juveniles have not been released, authorities believe the video evidence will be key to identifying the suspects.
