STARKVILLE, MS – A Mississippi real estate agent has been dropped by his firm after a video of him calling the police on a father helping his young daughters in a public restroom went viral on TikTok, racking up over 24 million views.
Firm Cuts Ties Immediately
Starkville-based Overstreet Properties announced they have officially severed ties with the independent contractor and licensed realtor. The decision came after footage exploded online showing the man berating a father at an Alabama gas station.
In an official statement posted to social media, Overstreet Properties clarified that the individual was on a personal trip unrelated to the company. The firm stated:
“The conduct depicted in the video does not reflect the values of Overstreet Properties… The individual depicted in the video is no longer associated with Overstreet Properties.”
The Restroom Confrontation
The incident occurred last weekend at a QuikTrip gas station during a road trip. Tyler Brodsky, a father traveling from Florida back home to Oklahoma, took his two young daughters into an empty women’s restroom, stating he preferred it over a “dirty” men’s room filled with grown men.
According to the footage, the Mississippi man barged into the restroom after his family reported a man was inside. He proceeded to call the police, telling the dispatcher, “There is a man with two little girls using the women’s bathroom… He’s washing his hands with his daughters right now.”
The heated argument left Brodsky’s young daughters visibly upset and crying in the video. A female QuikTrip employee eventually stepped in to shield the family, closing the restroom door on the customer and later apologizing to the father.
Police Intervene
Three police officers responded to the gas station convenience store. In a follow-up update, Brodsky confirmed that law enforcement quickly determined he had done nothing illegal.
Instead of taking action against the father, officers officially asked the Mississippi man to leave the premises. Brodsky praised both the responding officers and the QuikTrip staff for handling the situation with care and supporting his daughters after the ordeal.
