Video Suspects Caught On Camera During South Philadelphia Burglary String

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Residents in South Philadelphia are on high alert after new surveillance footage captured two men breaking into a residential building and stealing high-value property.

The Fitzwater Street Break-In

The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 10, on Fitzwater Street. Surveillance video shows two suspects skillfully forcing a door lock to gain entry into an apartment complex.

Once inside, the men were filmed stealing two bicycles valued at more than $800. The bikes belonged to a local resident, Gabriana Whipple, and her boyfriend.

Growing Safety Concerns

This latest break-in has left neighbors feeling vulnerable. According to victims, this is not the first time these specific individuals have been caught on camera targeting the same building.

“It’s really creepy knowing that somebody knows how to get into our building,” Whipple told local reporters, expressing fear that the suspects might eventually attempt to enter individual apartment units.

Police Investigation

The Philadelphia Police Department is reviewing the video evidence to identify the two men. Residents are being urged to double-check their building’s security systems and report any suspicious activity immediately.

No arrests have been made as of Wednesday morning. Police are asking anyone who recognizes the individuals in the footage or has information about the stolen bikes to contact investigators.
