Bexar County, Texas — A Texas preschool teacher is facing serious criminal charges after authorities say she pointed a firearm at another driver during an intense road-rage confrontation in Bexar County.
The incident led to the arrest of 51-year-old Latashia Deshawn Walker-County, who police say became involved in a heated roadside dispute that escalated dramatically.
Road-Rage Incident Leads to Arrest
According to reports, the confrontation unfolded on Wednesday when Walker-County allegedly got into an argument with another female driver.
Investigators say the situation quickly spiraled out of control during the roadside clash, with Walker-County allegedly pulling out a firearm and threatening the other motorist.
The victim later reported the incident to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, prompting an investigation into the alleged armed confrontation.

Walker-County is reportedly employed as a pre-kindergarten teacher at Essence Preparatory Public School in San Antonio.
According to the school’s website, the charter school serves students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade and was established to support the educational and emotional needs of Black and Brown students.
The school states its mission was to prove that “home zip codes are not predictors of educational success.”
However, the school has already been facing major challenges unrelated to the criminal case.
Charter School Already Set to Close
Reports indicate the Texas Education Agency decided not to renew the charter school’s license after citing multiple years of poor academic performance.
As a result, the school is scheduled to permanently close at the end of the current academic year — only four years after first opening.
