Two Teenagers Shot In North Philadelphia; Police Investigate Connection

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Police are investigating whether two separate shootings that injured two teenagers in North Philadelphia on Thursday night are connected.

First Shooting on West Cambria Street

The first incident occurred around 7:12 p.m. on June 25 on the 2400 block of West Cambria Street. Philadelphia Police officers responded to reports of a fight and gunfire in the area.

Upon arrival, officers found a 16-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital. His current medical condition has not been released.

Second Shooting Near Allegheny Avenue

Less than two hours later, just after 9:00 p.m., officers responded to another 911 call reporting gunshots near North 26th Street and Allegheny Avenue.

At this second scene, police discovered a 17-year-old boy who had also been shot in the leg. He was rushed to a local hospital and has been placed in stable condition.

Suspect Descriptions and Investigation

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigation Group is handling both cases. Currently, no arrests have been made, but detectives have gathered initial leads:

  • First Incident Suspect: Described as wearing all dark clothing and blue surgical gloves.
  • Second Incident Property: Investigators tracked the second shooter to a property on the 3200 block of North 25th Street. Officers successfully ordered the occupants inside to step out, and they are currently being questioned.

Officials are actively reviewing surveillance footage to determine if the same gunman is responsible for both shootings.
