FLUSHING, NY – A peaceful Sunday evening turned unsettling for local residents after a bystander discovered a woman’s body floating in a pond at Bowne Park.
Discovery in the Park
The NYPD responded to a 911 call just after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday regarding an unconscious individual in the kettle pond at the Flushing park. Upon arrival, officers located the woman’s body in the water near the park’s fountain.
Emergency responders carefully recovered the woman from the pond. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
