1 Dead, 2 Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on Danville Road in Boyle County

Danville, Kentucky – A three-vehicle crash in Boyle County on Tuesday afternoon left one man dead and two others hospitalized, according to state police. The collision happened along a busy stretch of Danville Road (KY 52) near the intersection of Goggin Lane.

Authorities said they received a call about the crash at approximately 4:15 p.m. on Feb. 10. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after and began assessing those involved.

Crash Happened Near Goggin Lane Intersection

According to the initial investigation, 18-year-old Brayden Childers of Junction City was driving a Chevrolet Silverado eastbound on Danville Road. Police say he was traveling behind Angel Oaks, who was operating a Chevrolet Tahoe in the same direction.

Investigators reported that Oaks attempted to make a left turn onto Goggin Lane when Childers allegedly crossed the center line and struck her vehicle. Following the initial collision, Childers’ truck then collided with a Dodge Grand Caravan driven by 80-year-old Larry Myers, who was traveling westbound on Danville Road.

80-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead at Scene

Larry Myers was pronounced dead at the scene by the Boyle County Coroner’s Office due to injuries sustained in the crash. Officials have not released additional details regarding the extent of his injuries.

Angel Oaks and Brayden Childers both sustained injuries described as non-life-threatening. They were transported to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center for treatment. Their current conditions have not been publicly disclosed.

Investigation Ongoing

Kentucky State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities have not indicated whether charges are pending or if additional factors, such as speed or road conditions, contributed to the collision.

The section of Danville Road near Goggin Lane experienced temporary traffic disruptions while emergency crews worked at the scene and investigators documented evidence.

Officials encourage drivers to remain cautious when traveling along KY 52, particularly at intersections where turning vehicles may present increased risk.
