17-Year-Old Arrested in Fort Worth Armed Robbery; Second Suspect Still Sought

A 17-year-old man is in custody following an early-morning armed robbery and carjacking in Fort Worth, while a second suspect remains on the run, according to police.

Officers with the Fort Worth Police Department responded around 5 a.m. Sunday to reports of a robbery in the 5800 block of Village Course in southeast Fort Worth. When officers arrived, they learned that a man had been robbed at gunpoint, with the suspects taking his vehicle and shoes, police said.

Investigators identified the stolen vehicle using the victim’s description and later located it with two suspects inside, authorities said. When officers attempted a stop, the suspects fled, triggering a police chase through the area.

According to police, the pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed and caught fire. One suspect, later identified as Alberto Rincon, 17, was taken into custody at the scene. Court records show Rincon is facing aggravated robbery and evading arrest charges.

The second suspect, who was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash, fled on foot and has not yet been apprehended, police said. No serious injuries were reported in connection with the crash.

Authorities said the investigation remains active as detectives work to identify and locate the remaining suspect. Additional charges may be filed as the case develops.

Anyone with information related to this incident or the whereabouts of the second suspect is urged to contact the Fort Worth Police Department or submit tips anonymously through local crime tip lines.
