28-Year-Old Guthrie Resident Dies in I-40 Crash Near Kickapoo Turnpike

A tragic single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a 28-year-old man from Guthrie on Saturday evening along Interstate 40 in Oklahoma County.

The crash occurred around 7:40 p.m. on March 28 in the eastbound lanes of I-40, just west of the Kickapoo Turnpike. According to authorities, Nolan Anderson was traveling eastbound when his vehicle unexpectedly left the roadway to the right side for reasons that have not yet been determined.

Investigators reported that the vehicle struck a bridge support structure before coming to a stop. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the collision, but Anderson was pronounced dead at the location.

Officials confirmed that he was the only person inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. He was wearing a seatbelt.
