Investigation Underway After Body Recovered From Maine Township Pond

MAINE TOWNSHIP, IL – Authorities are investigating after a body was pulled from a pond in unincorporated Maine Township on Monday morning, according to the Cook County Sheriff’s Office.

Discovery Near Des Plaines

The incident began around 10:50 a.m. when deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Linda and Holly lanes. The location, situated in the north suburban area near Des Plaines, became the center of a recovery operation after a body was spotted in the water.

Responding officers confirmed the recovery of an unidentified male. The age of the individual has not yet been determined.

Investigation Details

The body has been transported to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death and confirm the identity.

While the investigation is in its early stages, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office stated there is currently no indication of foul play involved in the incident.
