CHICAGO, IL – A 27-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition after being shot during an armed robbery in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood on Wednesday night.
The Incident
According to the Chicago Police Department, the victim was walking down the street when two armed men approached him. The suspects confronted the man and forcibly took his personal property.
Before fleeing the scene, one of the armed suspects opened fire, shooting the 27-year-old victim in the stomach.
Emergency Response
The incident occurred late Wednesday night, prompting a quick response from emergency crews. Paramedics transported the victim to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he remains in serious condition. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.
