ANAHEIM, CA – California Highway Patrol (CHP) investigators recovered more than $2.2 million worth of stolen merchandise during a major raid at an Anaheim warehouse on Thursday, June 18.
The Warehouse Raid
The massive recovery was the result of a targeted search warrant executed by the CHP’s Border Division. Inside the facility, authorities discovered a large stash of high-value cargo, which included:
- Meta server switches
- TaylorMade golf balls
- Tamiya hobby products
Officials stated that the operation was part of an ongoing investigation into sophisticated cargo theft networks and organized retail crime impacting the Southern California supply chain.
Cracking Down on Organized Crime
While CHP did not release specific details regarding potential suspects or arrests, they emphasized that the investigation is active and ongoing.
This raid follows a similar massive bust in March, where the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department seized $7 million in stolen cargo freight and $1 million in cash, highlighting a continuous regional crackdown on organized crime rings.
Economic Impact
In a statement released on Monday, the CHP Border Division warned that these massive operations have a direct impact on local residents.
“Cargo theft and organized retail crime impact everyone through higher costs and economic losses,” the department noted, adding that they remain committed to tracking down and holding these large-scale offenders accountable.
