ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta police are searching for answers following an overnight shooting in Southeast Atlanta that left a man fighting for his life. The incident, which occurred just before midnight, sparked a massive police presence that blocked off local roads for several hours.
Emergency Response at Constitution Road
Officers were dispatched to the intersection of Constitution Road SE and Forest Park Road SE late Sunday night. Upon arrival, they discovered a man, believed to be in his 40s, suffering from a serious gunshot wound.
The victim was immediately stabilized by emergency responders and rushed to a local hospital. Authorities confirmed he was taken into surgery early Monday morning, but his current medical status has not been updated.
Investigation and Evidence Collection
The area remained a very active crime scene for over three hours as investigators combed the pavement for clues.
