How the Crash Happened
Lt. Eric Eleshewich of the Fair Lawn Police Department said a woman from Hackensack was driving a 2019 Mercedes westbound in the left lane on Broadway when she turned into the 26th Street intersection.
At that moment, her vehicle collided with a 2016 Honda driven by a woman from Garfield.

- The other was transported to The Valley Hospital in Paramus.
Authorities did not release details regarding the severity of their injuries but confirmed both were conscious at the scene.

- Heavy front-end damage to both vehicles.
- A downed traffic signal pole resting across the cars.
- Debris scattered across the intersection.
The collision temporarily disrupted traffic flow in the area as crews worked to clear the roadway and repair infrastructure.
Road Closures and Repairs

Roadways that had been closed due to the crash were reopened once the scene was cleared and the signal was operational again.
No Summonses Issued
