Two Young Brothers Killed After Mom Allegedly Crashes at 111 MPH During Police Pursuit, Report Says

Fayetteville, North Carolina — A devastating crash in North Carolina has left two young children dead and another critically injured after authorities say their mother lost control of a vehicle while traveling at an extremely high speed late Wednesday night.

The tragic incident occurred near Cedar Creek Road in Fayetteville, where emergency responders rushed to the scene following a violent collision involving multiple children.

High-Speed Crash Ends in Tragedy

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the crash happened shortly before 11 p.m. on June 3.

Investigators say a state trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop before the driver allegedly accelerated away from law enforcement.

Authorities reported that the vehicle later lost control and crashed into a tree along Cedar Creek Road. State troopers allege the vehicle was traveling at 111 miles per hour at the time of the collision.

The force of the crash caused catastrophic injuries to the children riding inside the vehicle.

Two Brothers Killed in Collision

Officials confirmed that two young brothers died as a result of the crash. Authorities have not publicly released their identities.

A third child was also seriously injured and reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries during the wreck. According to investigators, the child was ejected from the vehicle during the collision.

Emergency crews initially transported the child to a nearby hospital before the youngster was later airlifted to another medical facility for advanced treatment.

The child’s current condition has not been publicly updated.

Children Were All Under Age 10

Troopers told that all three children involved in the crash were under the age of 10.

Investigators also stated that none of the children were secured in car seats at the time of the collision. The details have added another heartbreaking element to an already tragic case.

Safety experts consistently emphasize the importance of age-appropriate child restraints, particularly during high-speed travel, as they can significantly reduce the risk of severe injury or death in crashes.

Authorities have not indicated whether additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.

Mother Expected to Recover

Despite the severity of the crash, officials said the children’s mother survived and is expected to recover from her injuries.

Authorities have not publicly released her identity.

Investigators continue reviewing the circumstances leading up to the collision, including the attempted traffic stop and the events that followed.
