Pointer Varsity Football Loses a Hard-Fought Battle Against Darlington

The Pointer Varsity football team traveled to Darlington to take on the Redbirds. The Pointers and Redbirds could not get anything going in the first quarter as the score was 0-0 heading into the second quarter. The Pointers quickly drove down though, and Eli Lindsey connected with Tremaine Kennicker 20 yard touchdown pass. The Pointers took a 7-0 lead heading into the half.

The second half was all Darlington as they scored 20 unanswered points in the second half to win the game by a score of 20-7.

The Pointers will take on the Bellville Wildcats on Ron Murphy FIeld next Friday.
