DEL RIO, TX – Three young women have been arrested and charged with murder following a brutal late-night stabbing that left a 32-year-old woman dead.
The Incident and Emergency Response
The investigation began on Thursday, June 25, when officers with the Del Rio Police Department responded to the Val Verde Regional Medical Center. Hospital staff had reported a female patient arriving with multiple severe stab wounds.
Detectives quickly identified the primary crime scene as the 800 block of East 10th Street. Due to the critical nature of her injuries, the victim was airlifted to a specialized trauma hospital in San Antonio, where she later passed away.
Suspects Identified and Arrested
Through a rapid investigation involving witness interviews, physical evidence collection, and the review of area surveillance footage, detectives identified three female suspects.
The following individuals have been taken into custody and officially charged with murder:
- Kitty Mia Diaz, 21
- Amaya Cookie Diaz, 19
- Kyandra Renee Faz, 21
Ongoing Investigation
The identity of the 32-year-old victim has not yet been publicly released by authorities pending family notification.
