According to the Naples Police Department, the incident began on Goodlette-Frank Road on Wednesday, June 24. The suspect, identified as 47-year-old Tabatha Towns, reportedly believed another driver had almost hit her vehicle.

Victims told officers that Towns began driving aggressively, repeatedly slamming on her brakes and brake-checking them. Both vehicles eventually pulled into a medical center parking lot near 7th Avenue North, where the situation quickly turned physical.

Authorities state Towns approached the victims’ vehicle, reached through the open driver’s side window, and punched one of the women in the face.

The confrontation quickly spilled out of the vehicle and into a nearby grassy area, where all three women became involved in a physical struggle. One of the victims stated she and her sister had to actively defend themselves after attempting to de-escalate the situation.

When police arrived, they found scattered physical evidence in the grass, including braided hair, eyeglasses, and dropped makeup items.

Following the altercation, Towns left the scene and drove to another nearby medical office. Officers located her shortly after, noting that she was wearing medical scrubs that were visibly covered in grass stains.

Towns was arrested and booked into the Collier County Sheriff’s Office jail. She faces multiple charges, including:

  • Two counts of battery (touch or strike)
  • One count of burglary with assault or battery

Records show Towns has a prior 2025 arrest for failing to obey law enforcement. Her court date for this incident is scheduled for July 20. No severe injuries were reported from the brawl.
