Arlington, Texas — A 67-year-old bicyclist has died after being struck by an Arlington ISD school bus at a busy intersection Monday afternoon, according to police.
The crash happened around 2:34 p.m. on Feb. 17 at the intersection of Treecrest Drive and the Interstate 20 frontage road, the Arlington Police Department said in a press release.
Authorities identified the victim as William Roberts, 67.
Driver Stayed on Scene, Students Unhurt
Police said the school bus was attempting to make a right turn from Treecrest Drive onto the I-20 frontage road when the collision occurred.
Investigators determined that Roberts was traveling eastbound along the I-20 frontage road when he approached the intersection.
The bus struck Roberts, throwing him from his bicycle and into the roadway.
Officers found Roberts lying in the street without a helmet after being thrown from his bike.

The school bus driver remained at the scene, called 911 and attempted to assist the bicyclist before emergency responders arrived.
There were four students on the bus at the time of the crash, and all were reported uninjured, according to police.
Transported to Hospital, Later Pronounced Dead
Roberts was transported to a nearby hospital following the crash. Authorities later confirmed that he died from his injuries.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
No Criminal Charges Filed
At this time, no criminal charges have been filed in connection with the crash, police said.
Investigators are continuing to review evidence, including roadway conditions and vehicle positioning, as part of the ongoing inquiry.
The tragic incident has raised concerns about traffic safety at intersections along busy frontage roads, where vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians frequently converge.
