ROSEMEAD, CA – The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) has launched a homicide investigation after a woman was shot and killed early Monday morning following a verbal dispute.

Shooting Details

The incident occurred shortly after 6 a.m. on May 4, 2026, in the 2400 block of Strathmore Avenue. Deputies responding to the call found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

According to law enforcement sources, the shooting escalated from an argument between two individuals at the scene. The victim, who is believed to have been unhoused, was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
