Merlin was last seen around 7:10 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, in Allen, Texas. She was originally reported missing from Keithville, Louisiana, earlier that same day.

Investigators believe Merlin is with 18-year-old Daniel Vasquez Mejia, described as having black hair and brown eyes. The pair is suspected to be traveling in a vehicle with specific identifying marks:
