Crystal Lake Man Charged After Incident At Canterbury Elementary Recess

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL – A 69-year-old man faces felony charges after allegedly exposing himself to children during their recess at a northwest suburban elementary school on Thursday.

The Incident at Canterbury Elementary

Crystal Lake Police responded to reports of a suspicious individual at Canterbury Elementary School. According to authorities, the man, identified as Jack Glauner, allegedly exposed himself to a group of children and an adult who were outside on the school grounds for recess.

Glauner reportedly fled the area before officers arrived on the scene.

Arrest and Felony Charges

Following a witness description of the suspect’s vehicle, officers were able to locate and apprehend Glauner shortly after the incident. Police confirmed he was taken into custody without further incident.

Glauner has been charged with:

  • Public Indecency (Lewd Exposure near school grounds): A Class 4 Felony.
  • Disorderly Conduct (Breach of Peace): A Class C Misdemeanor.

He was transported to the McHenry County Jail following his arrest.
