HARRISBURG, PA – A chaotic brawl involving two men erupted during a kindergarten graduation ceremony at Ben Franklin Elementary School, leaving parents horrified as a baby was caught in the crossfire.
Chaos Inside the Gymnasium
The incident occurred last Thursday during the school’s graduation ceremony inside the gymnasium. According to local police reports, a domestic dispute between two male attendees quickly turned physical at the back of the room, knocking over chairs and disrupting the event.
A shocking video of the incident shows one man in a white shirt and another in a yellow hoodie dragging each other to the ground. During the struggle, the man in the white shirt put his opponent in a headlock while clutching a baby in his arms.
The dangerous situation prompted terrified onlookers to scream for someone to rescue the infant. Fortunately, the baby was pulled away from the melee safely before the fight escalated.
Police Intervene and Charges Filed
The two men continued to trade blows until they were separated and pushed out of the auditorium. The man in the yellow hoodie had to be restrained by bystanders.
Harrisburg Police responded to the scene and arrested one man, identifying him as the primary “aggressor.”

A district spokesperson emphasized that such disruptive actions are not condoned and will absolutely not be tolerated on any school property. Local residents also expressed deep shock that a physical fight would occur at an event meant to celebrate young children.
