Las Vegas, Nevada — A shocking murder case involving a 17-year-old high school student has stunned the Las Vegas community after authorities accused the teen of killing a 61-year-old homeless woman in a brutal late-night attack.
Police arrested the teenager on May 5 in connection with the death of Marceline Biasini, whose body was discovered outside a business earlier this spring.
Woman Found Dead on Sidewalk
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded just after 8 a.m. on April 21 after Biasini was found lying on a sidewalk with severe injuries.
The victim reportedly slept regularly in the area where her body was discovered.
Investigators later determined that her death was a homicide. The Clark County coroner’s office ruled that Biasini died from blunt head trauma.
The case quickly escalated after police reviewed nearby surveillance footage and audio recordings from the area.
Surveillance Audio Revealed Disturbing Sounds
Authorities say surveillance cameras captured a suspicious interaction during the early morning hours before the victim was found dead.
While the actual attack was not visible due to camera obstruction, the audio reportedly recorded chilling sounds connected to the incident.
“The precise location of the crime scene was obstructed from surveillance cameras, but video surveillance with audio … captured the suspect approaching Marceline’s location and, seconds later, a scream is heard followed by approximately 61 loud thuds,” the Review-Journal report said.
Police say the suspect was seen approaching the victim’s location before leaving about a minute later.
The disturbing details have intensified public attention on the case.
Teen Suspect Allegedly Had History of Anger Issues
The suspect was identified by local reports as Dennis Geiggar, a 17-year-old student who allegedly had a documented history of anger-related behavior and disciplinary incidents.
According to reports, Geiggar was expelled from Valley High School in January after allegedly attempting to start a fire on campus. He had reportedly been attending school online afterward.
Police also stated that Geiggar had experienced “numerous incidents where his anger had resulted in his punching walls and trash cans” and had participated in anger management classes.
Investigators believe clothing and physical evidence may connect him to the crime scene.
Evidence Investigators Say Links Teen to Crime
According to police reports, surveillance footage from a nearby 7-Eleven showed a suspect wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and Vans shoes, similar to clothing Geiggar allegedly wore while attending school.
Detectives also reportedly discovered bloody footwear impressions at the scene.
Tests conducted on the suspect’s Vans shoes came back presumptively positive for blood, though DNA testing has not yet been finalized.

Authorities additionally stated that the suspect’s physical appearance matched surveillance descriptions from the area.
Suspect Denies Allegations
Despite the accusations, Geiggar has denied involvement in the killing.
Court documents reportedly state that he admitted being near the area around 1–2 a.m. with his older brother and visiting a nearby 7-Eleven. However, investigators reportedly did not find footage showing him inside the store during that timeframe.
At this stage, Geiggar has not been convicted, and the case remains ongoing.
He is currently being held on one felony count of open murder, a charge used in Nevada when prosecutors allege homicide without specifying the degree of murder.
The case has sparked concern throughout the community, particularly because of the suspect’s age and the violent details investigators allege were involved.
