SOUTH PHILADELPHIA, PA – Westbound lanes of I-76 were paralyzed Tuesday night following a massive five-vehicle pileup that left seven people injured and forced a total roadway closure.
Five-Vehicle Pileup Near Passyunk Avenue
The incident occurred late Tuesday, causing authorities to shut down the westbound lanes from Passyunk Avenue to Greys Ferry Avenue. Emergency responders and SkyForce10 reported at least five vehicles were involved in the wreckage.
Seven individuals sustained injuries in the collision and were treated by medical personnel. While the victims were transported for care, officials have not yet detailed the specific severity of their injuries.
