New PCH Food Park Launches In Long Beach

LONG BEACH, CA – A vacant former car dealership lot has been transformed into Los Angeles County’s first dedicated food truck park, providing a vibrant new gathering space for the local community.

From a Craigslist Ad to a Community Hub

Located at the busy corridor of Pacific Coast Highway and Orizaba Avenue near the Signal Hill area, the PCH Food Park operates five days a week. The entire project unexpectedly came together through a single Craigslist ad placed by co-organizer Priscilla Jaramillo, who was simply looking for a regular place to park her own food truck.

The only response came from lot owner and Long Beach State alum Hossein Farshidfard. Inspired by traditional food courts back in his homeland, Farshidfard wanted to create a family-friendly space featuring plants, a central Persian fountain, and diverse dining options.

Supporting Local Vendors

The park offers a rotating lineup of weekly food trucks, giving small business owners a consistent location to build a loyal customer base.

Local vendors note that having a dedicated, dependable spot allows them to connect deeply with the neighborhood. Currently, any food truck vendor holding a valid Long Beach health permit is eligible to apply for a spot in the rotation.

What To Expect

  • Schedule: Open five days a week (Wednesday through Sunday).
  • Location: Corner of PCH and Orizaba Ave, Long Beach.
  • Features: Rotating food trucks, outdoor seating, a central fountain, and community entertainment.

Organizers express high excitement for the park’s future and invite residents from across Long Beach and Signal Hill to visit, eat, and support local food entrepreneurs.
