Lauderdale Lakes, Florida – Three people, including two children, were hospitalized Thursday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash near Boyd Anderson High School in Lauderdale Lakes, according to emergency officials.
The crash occurred in the 4200 block of Northwest 29th Avenue, prompting a response from Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue crews.
Authorities say the collision left multiple people injured and caused significant damage to at least one vehicle.
Officials confirmed that two people — including a child — were ejected from one of the vehicles during the crash.
Two Victims Airlifted as Trauma Alerts
According to Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Michael Kane, two of the injured individuals were transported to Broward Health North as trauma alerts.
Emergency responders said both victims required immediate medical attention following the crash.
One of the victims transported as a trauma alert was identified as a child, officials said.
Authorities have not released further details about the victims’ conditions.
Third Person Also Taken to Hospital
Emergency crews also evaluated a third person at the crash scene.
After an on-site medical assessment, that individual was also transported to a hospital for treatment.
Officials have not confirmed the age of the third victim or whether they were inside one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
Crash Scene Shows Heavy Damage
Aerial footage from Sky 10 showed a heavy emergency response in the area as investigators worked to secure the scene.
Video from above the crash site revealed:
- A red car with significant damage
- Skid marks visible on the roadway
- Yellow police tape blocking off the area
Law enforcement officers and firefighters remained on scene while investigators began examining what may have led to the crash.
Investigation Underway
Authorities have not yet released details about the cause of the crash or how the two vehicles collided.

Officials also have not confirmed whether speed, driver error, or other factors played a role.
Investigators say additional information may be released as the crash investigation continues.
