Tragic House Fire in Greer Subdivision Leaves Three Dead

GREER, SC — A quiet evening in the Sugar Creek subdivision turned into a scene of devastating loss Thursday night after a residential structure fire claimed the lives of two adults and one child.

The Boiling Springs Fire Department, supported by several mutual aid agencies, rushed to the home at 203 Sugar Creek Lane around 9:30 p.m. on April 2. Despite the rapid response from emergency crews, the Greenville County Coroner’s Office confirmed that three individuals were unable to escape the blaze.

Victims Discovered During Firefighting Efforts

According to reports from the coroner’s office, the victims—identified as two women and a young girl—were discovered inside the home while crews were working to extinguish the flames.

The identities of the deceased are being withheld at this time. Chief Deputy Coroner England Shelton stated that while next of kin have been notified, formal identification will be released following autopsies scheduled for Friday, April 3.
